Snapshot:
Not quite a cafe, not quite a restaurant, Higher Ground offers innovative fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside specialty coffee. Reminiscent of a fine hotel lobby, the space was created by local studio DesignOffice. The refined interior offers tiers, nooks and perches to savour a meal or enjoy a drink.

The Objective: A new visual identity including collateral design.

The Opportunity: Create a visual identity that would reflect and be integrated into the highly considered visual intent of the architecturally designed space.

The Outcome: Inspired by the concept of travelling to new heights, our brand execution took a somewhat literal yet creative approach to visual identity. Coffee cups showcase mountainous landscapes commissioned from fine art photography by Brooke Holm. Business cards utilise four different colours and weight of paper stock to reference layers of earth. A custom stencil typeface was designed as the primary brand element and reflects the idea that each person’s journey and pathway to Higher Ground is different.
